Olivia Notter

"We are not things, but processes. We are not separate from the universe; we are part of it, like a leaf is part of a tree.
Healing is not an isolated act but a way of returning to the great conversation of life."
Ursula K. Le Guin
Psychologist
Born in Aotearoa, New Zealand with Swiss heritage, Olivia now calls Gubbi Gubbi country her home. With over nine years of experience, she has supported individuals of all ages in navigating a range of challenges, some of these include: emotional extremes, feeling numb or flat, constant worry, the fear of abandonment and rejection, relationship difficulties, low self-worth and the search for purpose and meaning.

Olivia specialises in supporting survivors of sexual abuse and her work is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care, recognising how trauma can disconnect the mind and body. She gently guides clients to safely explore physical sensations, emotions, and the stories they carry, helping to restore regulation and reclaim a sense of strength and wholeness. Her approach honours the resilience of individuals while addressing the complex layers of healing, from nervous system regulation to rebuilding self-trust.

The stories we internalise—shaped by relationships and societal messages—often linger in unseen ways. Olivia creates an accepting space where clients can unravel these stories, including the silenced or stigmatised parts of their experiences. She believes deeply in the power of being heard, witnessed, and reconnecting with one’s body and voice.

Passionate about the healing power of nature and community, Olivia offers walking therapy in the forest as an option to help regulate the nervous system and connect with the natural world. She is committed to embracing each person’s unique heritage, identity, and strengths, tailoring therapy to their individual needs. When appropriate, she also incorporates somatic meditations, art, or movement to enrich the therapeutic process. Above all, her practice is a sanctuary – a place to explore the soul’s longings, the heart’s needs and the body’s wisdom.
