“Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love”

 Brene Brown.

Courtney completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland. For 9 years she has worked with clients in public and private hospital settings, schools and private practice. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan who are struggling with a complex range of psychological difficulties, relationship and personal issues.

In private practice Courtney works with individuals over the age of 16. Courtney has a warm and genuine approach, wanting to cultivate a therapy space of safety, compassion and respect for her clients. While her primary therapy modality is Schema Therapy, she also utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) among other modalities.

As an accredited Schema Therapist Courtney has a particular interest in working with clients experiencing long standing problematic patterns in their relationship with self, others and the world around them. Courtney strives to help her clients address the heart of the matter, to gain greater self-awareness and to develop healthier ways to cope and have their needs met. Courtney has worked in specialist eating disorder treatment facilities, and has expertise working with clients struggling with problematic eating and poor body image, along with health conditions, depression and trauma-related difficulties.
